James Dyson is the founder and the brain behind the Dyson Ltd. The company is famous for its vacuums. James has borrowed the technology from his modern vacuum inventions and used it in making hair dryers. The Hair Dryer is built with Dyson’s “digital technology”, which is direct current motor, which suffers less wear and tear over time, and also the hair dryer is brush less.
Technology
The technology used in the Dyson Supersonic hair Dryer is the “Digital Technology”.
The dryer features a microprocessor that has the intelligent heat control function. The microprocessor is used to immediately calculate instructions and adjusts the heating level. The intelligent heat control prevents from hair loosing their strength and shine. Along with the microprocessor is a Glass Bead Thermistor that measures the temperature of air every time it exits for 20 times per second.
The powerful digital motor that is installed in the handle of the dryer powers this. The digital motor is the Dyson Digital Motor V9. The V9 motor is assembled independently and has a machined impeller that spins at 110,000rpm. This motor is 8 times faster than any other motor in the traditional hair dryers. The size of this motor is only 27mm, which takes less space and reduces weight. The motor being placed in the handle and not in the head of the dryer helps to improve balance, reduce weight and allows more space for airflow.
Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer uses the Air Multiplier Technology, which features a blade less fan. The blade less fan allows smooth flow of air. Up to 5.28 gallons of air passes through this section per second. The Air Multiplier also uses a brushless electric motor that rotates the 9 hidden blades in the pedestal. The motor adds an extra push to the flow of air shooting it up to the ring of the fan. The air flows through a curved path in the channel and flows out from small slits around the frame of the fan. This allows the airflow to collect air trapped in other spaces of the body and travel through the channels increasing the volume of air. The combination of all of these features increases the airflow up to 15 times.
The handle of the dryer has a rubber mount which is used to reduce vibration inside the V9motor This reduces the transfer of noise between the case and the motor. Well this is something other hair dryers do not have and it annoys the users most.

James Dyson himself made the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer’s design. The hair dryer is work of art that is engineered for complete balance. The convention being on the head and the motor in the handle helps reduce weight. The shape of the dryer is specially designed in a way that will reduce arm ache. The dryer weighs only 1.8 pounds.
The head and nozzle are designed perfectly to dry and style at the same time. The dryer does not make your hair frizzy at all and lets them shine. The Air concentrator helps you shape one section of your hair without disturbing the other sections.
The Dyson Diffuser lows air evenly through your curls which helps to reduce frizz.

Only four simple buttons that control airflow speed and heat control the hair dryer. There are three precise speed settings; fast, regular and styling, and 4 precise heat settings; fast drying at 212F, regular drying at 176F, gentle drying at 140F and constant cold which is at 82F temperature.
The body is made so simple and easy, you just need to twist open the filter for cleaning. The Dryer comes with a 9 feet long power cable that gives you freedom to move around while drying and styling.
History
James Dyson founded Dyson Ltd Company. It is a British Technology company that designs, develops and manufactures vacuum cleaners, hand dryers, heaters, hair dryers and bladeless fans. The company started of by manufacturing vacuum cleaners. James Dyson developed 5,127 prototypes in five years between 1979 and 1984, and all of them failed until one that became the world’s first bagless vacuum. By 2009, the company started research and development in other technologies. The Air Blade handle, the Air multiplier, bladeless fan and others came in to production.
Later in 2016, the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer was designed and launched in the market. This hair dryer turned out to be an unbeatable product in the market, though it is expensive.
Dyson Ltd caters over 70 countries and employee more than 7000 people worldwide. So they have built huge production capacities over the years and are selling products in a large market.
